In writing their next book, they face flying cats, mermaids, giant bananas, and much more. There is a document that has a guide about how to turn the book into writing, speech, or reading lessons for teachers. Andy wakes up one morning, and on his way to getting breakfast, he meets Terry, painting a white cat yellow to turn it into a canary, or a "catnary". After being dropped from the treehouse, the cat grows wings and flies away. Andy and Terry are then greeted by their animal-loving friend Jill, who wants to find her pet cat, Silky. It turns out that the cat Terry painted was that exact cat. Andy and Terry try to remain innocent when Jill questions them. Right after Jill leaves, Andy and Terry receive a call via a 3D video phone by their publisher, Mr Big Nose, who is upset that the duo is behind schedule. The story continues with the expanded treehouse with new things to find and explore. There is a trampoline, a chocolate waterfall, a dinosaur petting zoo, and so much more. This time, they have the added benefit of a time machine to help them get their book finished in time. First and foremost, we should admit that this book was not written for me. It was written for kids and me not liking it really only means that I don't fall into the demographic that it was aimed at. I bought this book for my nephew's birthday, though, and I wanted to know what I was giving him after the bookstore ladies suggested it to me.Terry’s laser beams were hitting everything—except for the fly, that is—and everything they hit burst into flames. At the beginning of the book, there is a detailed illustration of the different areas of the treehouse. Andy writes the words for their book, and Terry does the illustrations. Andy's been a bit stressed, so Terry has decided the perfect way for them to relax is to head up to their new camping ground level for a much-needed holiday. But it turns out to be not quite as relaxing as Terry originally planned... The characters of Andy and Terry parallel the author, Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton. The books are designed to be happening in real time while the characters are trying to finish the book. They mean the book to be more like a trip to the theatre instead of just reading a story. It was making a buzzing sound, kind of like a fly. Which wasn’t surprising, really, because after a while I realized that’s what it was—a fly, just an ordinary fly. There are so many things to do in the treehouse that you won’t want to leave. They have self-making beds, a game room, vines to swing on. They even have a vegetable vaporizer that is a great way to eat your vegetables without having to taste them. These machines can discern whether or not you are hungry and feed you accordingly.These books can help cover standards of the curriculum.
