This is such a sweet, heartwarming, and uplifting book. Is it a bit sappy and predictable, and are the characters all a bit too perfect? Yes, but that doesn't detract from the book for me at all. If you're looking for a delightfully funny yet poignant book, then look no further than Center's latest.

Bodyguards are also depicted in television shows, comics, and other media. Bodyguard is a Japanese television series starring Reiko Takashima. In the UK, Bodyguards was a late 1990s British television series about a specialized Close Protection Group that protected members of the UK government. More recently, Bodyguard follows the story of a war veteran suffering from PTSD who becomes a specialist protection officer in the Metropolitan Police Service, and assigned to protect an ambitious Cabinet minister. Caught between resentment and fear, Camille prepares herself for the measures her father will take to protect her. But nothing could prepare her for Jake Sharp. I just love the tension that this causes from both parties – the bodyguard and the protected – because it creates the best chemistry until it just can’t be ignored or denied. This bodyguard romance book also mixes a good amount of suspense into the story if you’re a fan of romantic suspense.

Romance is not my favourite genre but I do love a great everyday romantic story that feels real and when it comes to scoring I try to rate a book in the context of the genre it was written for and the people it was designed to appeal to. The supporting cast was also fantastic, especially Kelly. I'd LOVE a book focusing on Kelly and Doghouse!!!! Taylor and Bobby (iykyk) can go touch grass TBH. I hope Bobby falls into the River Thames ... respectfully. Pros: GREAT premise, legit funny, well-written, fast-paced, perfect length, NO THIRD ACT BREAKUP YOU'RE WELCOME, loved the banter, bingeable read, I could go on and on and on... You will recognize the cadence of her characters voices, their love of the term “Fair Enough” and of course, there is always joyful dancing 💃🏻 dancing 🕺🏻!

I don't want to oversell how happy and fun this story was, because there were definitely some emotionally heavy moments that had me tearing up and reaching for my tissue box. But overall, this was such a pleasant diversion from real life. I come out of it feeling warm and comforted all over, and I'm honestly not ready to let that feeling go just yet. What she needs is a bodyguard.The large, scarred ruffian she finds on her stoop is exactly what she has been looking for. So why does his presence make her tremble in ways that have nothing to do with fear? She’s now tasked to enter Hollywood’s glamorous and dangerous party scene to shadow a movie star hunk. When she finds herself in his bed, she realizes she’s not only risking her life, but her heart.
